Villainous, Ghostly, and Baby: Caterpillars Three

Well, the costumes didn't turn out quite as well as I had hoped, but thankfully the five-and-under crowd isn't all that critical :)

The boys periodically decided they wanted to be x instead of caterpillars, so I fixed it by attaching that to caterpillar (You want to be a bad guy? OK, you can be a villainous caterpillar) Daniel didn't want to be a baby, he just is (at least by Jay & Isaac's standards).

The whole costume -making thing was fun up until Friday night or so. Now I'm ready to cash in that gift certificate Paul got me for a massage!!

Caterpillars- Progress to Date
Daniel needs some arm holes and they both need something to keep them puffy and above the feet. I'm seriously considering a few lengths of ribbon, just tacked to each tier, though of course I wouldn't be able to stuff them thoroughly. I'm not sure they need a whole lot of extra loft, though. I'm also a little concerned they'll get tangled in the ribbon getting dressed if I go that route. The current alternative would be tacking them to their pants. That could work, too, but would probably need to be disassembled before washing, and would "consume" the pants until they were disassembled. Never a dull moment!

(Isaac's is at the same stage of completeness that Jay's is, but he took his time getting dressed this morning & missed out on his costume fitting session)

How'd You Manage That?
Jay just came downstairs and said, "Guess what? Instead of a regular dream last night, I had a daydream!" Apparently it was about a black bug with white and yellow spots. "Oh," he concluded, "That's an instresting daydream!"

Not really up my alley but then I'm not a 5-yr-old boy!
